Right now Sony is, you’re right. But they've always had the multimedia box. They are marketing it to the people that are going to rush out and buy it day one. You really believe that lie? Yet another told by MS. Kinect still didn't help the xbox beat PS3. You know what help the ps3 beat the xbox? Games. 

That's basically the "sides" I've been on since the Gamecube. And I must say it's a really good place to be.  

I can't possibly have a Nintendo console as my main one. Because the only games that are "must have" are the first parties entries, and a few rare third party ones.  So there's a lot of months that go by without anything new to enjoy.  So I came to discover Sony's own first parties during this last gen, and of course, the third party efforts is much stronger on Sony's side.

So I get the best of both worlds. Indeed, the 360 had what Sony had too, at the start of the gen, and that's the reason why it's the first console I purchase this gen. But the nature of Live, and the lack of effort on their first party side, comapre to Sony's just wasn't enough to keep me on their boat.

And the way they're handling the XBO so far really doesn't make me want to be a part of it again.

Oh please i was not talking about the Kinect helping MS beat sony. I was talking about MS business strategies should not be underminded. They know what they are doing, before Kinect was released the interent laughed at Kinect saying it would flop, then it went on to become the fastest selling consumer electronic of all time. 

And I'm sorry but the ps3 was the sore loser this generation. Sony had the monopoly in the gaming industry with the ps2, and the ps3 destroyed that. Took Sony 7 years to catch up. And if games were the reason why ps3 beat the 360 (less then a month ago) why is that 360 version of games and exclusives sell better?

Sites actually reported sony denying the patent is for the Ps4. Also, gamestop and yoshida confirmed used games and yoshida confirmed no internet connection required. Dont listen to the people saying otherwise. There is no reason to think Sony will have DRM at this moment in time. In fact, the there is every reason to believe they wont implement it

OP, when people said MS came into gaming because of multimedia it should've answered your question long ago. The Xbox One would've come regardless of the time, they just have to shut the gamers up to do it.

Yup, there is no reason to think DRM will happen for ps4 at this given time. We haven't heard persistant rumors like we did about MS. All the reports contradict the people suggesting it will. Sony and Gamestop already confirmed used games along with Yoshida confirming no internet required to use the system. There is no practical way to implement it or enforce it. The "up to the publishers to require online registration" (which is the quote people like to focus on who suggests these claims) really just sounds like online passes. Now, can Ps4 still have DRM? Absolutely, but I will continue to believe its not the case untill something actually supports that it is the case.

why then are some people in this thread saying with certainty that sony are doing this also?

see i dont expect as much from the pc as its always been tied down to me, but outside of that I could just play mine craft till the end of time, they regift that, and it can be played accross network when the system is down just takes a minor config change, and the owner has turned off checking before when all the auth servers blew up

Already addressed that. Look at the bolded text. They are speculating over a quote of something that has been availble the entire life span of the ps3. Nothing more than that

I almost thought they had me with the NFL thing if they somehow got sunday ticket or what ever it would be called on the 360 it might be the one thing to get me to buy it, but they just glossed over the whole NFL thing.... dont know that i would  game on it, but it would be worth the console a live subscription, and another large fee ontop of it....this year im buying maden collectors ed from amazon as it comes with the gift of free sunday ticket for mobile/computers … your supposed to be able to buy it if you don't have dish but i have been unable to the last two years dealing with sales people who refuse or hang up or transfer 

but as it stands right now i have no cable TV so that would not help me
