| sth88 said: For anyone saying they have internet on their phones but not in their home, and how that's a dealbreaker since they think that means they won't be able to use the X1, I point you to this statement from the Xbox Wire: "In areas where an Ethernet connection is not available, you can connect using mobile broadband." So if your mobile broadband is reliable, your X1 will connect to the cloud through that, even in your internet goes down for some reason for a few days. Problem solved. That is all. Carry on with your arguments. |
Oh snap! Mobile hot spots huh!? I have an iPhone so I don't have that.... It's ok though because I can buy an additional service for that!!! This is dumb...
Edit: nevermind the fact that there are data caps on cell services.... Connect to the cloud with it? Hell no. This argument is stupid as well FYI
Its not that it affects me personally but it seems to have no benefit to the consumer so I dont agree with it, combining it with the whole used games thing just makes Xbox One unapealing at the moment.
Would u be ok with ur DVD/Blu Ray player or TV requiring an internet access?
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
I guess it would be OK to have an internet check for books, music, movies, car keys/car, etc. as well then (if they had a network interface of some sort). Not that there's anything wrong with it, just sayin' it ain't my cup of tea.

If it was 24/7 yes. But it isn't there for i could care less.
When a VGC membership costs $300-400 + $60 to take part in a thread, you'll have a point.
What a pointless comparisson. You don't have to use the Internet to play Fallout 3. But its absolutely necessary to use VGChartz.

I assume you have internet as well XD
Sorry but this argument is idiotic. A website lives on a server that you need the Internet to access, thus it's fine to "require" and Internet connection. A single player game is contained in its own environment and requires no interaction with outside data, thus a "required" Internet connection is getting hate.
