I'll say 700k. Pre-orders seemed low this past week so I think maybe they overtracked before. I'm thinking under 400k preorders so don't know how that translates to totals for first week but around 700k seems reasonable just by my total guesstimation method.

Looking at the reviews for this game and the brand name of its developers which has grown so much since the release of Uncharted 2. The Last of Us is guaranteed at least a 900k launch which I believe can extend up to 1.5 million.
