Dat moody cloud! Haha. I still hope MS can keep competitive so $ony won't get an easy win! But it doesn't look so good by now, sadly.

People will buy Xbone no matter what... the point is how much money MS will loose to fix these issues in the early of the gen.

What was your longest periode without internet in the last 2 years?? How long it stayed offline?

Would you die if you couldn´t play a game for 2 or 3 hours?

Can´t you watch TV or read a book when internet is down?

Just asking...

So... looks like the sram and low yields and many months behind rumors are ALL TRUE.

I'd stay away from launch day stock if I were you.

Yes, people will of course buy it, games will still be good! Controller is already! I will enter nextgen late because of my great backlog this gen :)

This year I have trouble only one time and my Intenet service wasted two days to fix the problem after I called them... I was offiline for three days.

At least I can use my cellphone crap internet to read emails.

Sounds like nothing is going accordin to plan over at Microsoft. So to sum it up
-Yield issues due to heat problems w/ ESRAM
-Started R&D very late, much later than Sony
-Change in leadership apparently didn't work very well
-Entertainment focus forced them to lock-in 8GB DDR3 early which also forced them to use ESRAM to make up for the RAM disadvantage
-GPU might be underclocked to try and improve yields
-Development tools aren't very mature either, they are behind Sony
-6 Months behind schedule
-PS4 reveal + 8GB GDDR5 caught them off-guard.
-Reveal UI/OS wasn't real-time. It was faked.

As a tech enthusiast, who would be excited for an Xbox One right now? If given a choice, I think most would pick the PS4.

There are a lot of people who never read these or other forums. I know my friends and fam who own X360 were all excited about X1 until I told them about the DRM. I haven't yet told them about this news.

Or just buy the 3 year extended warranty and not worry about it.

It's just that simple.

Sure I could, but if I wanted to play a game at the time I would be pissed. If it happened more than once I'd probably fuck-this-console-I'll-sell-it pissed.

Warranties are a waste of money. I was a commissioned sales person for Sears/Circuit City/Home Depot selling major appliances (and other electronics at CC) for well over 10years prior to becoming a software engineer.

Extended warranties are about 90% pure profit for companies for the single reason that they just about never get used.

Products will either fail in their first year or pretty much never and you get the first year covered for free.

It would be smarter to buy from Costco since they give you a 2nd year for free.

Never pay for extended warranties on anything. Waste of money and huge ripoff. Instead put that money in an interest earning savings account and on the rare time something actually breaks, use that built up cash to replace it as you see fit.
