What is the news on these games anyway? Have we gotten any word if there will be gameplay changes or new dungeons in Wind Waker? And what about Fable? Is it just glossier graphics plus achievements? Or are they changing the mechanics/story/levels, etc?

Remakes are supposed to be as close as possible to the original game, whereas reboots are completely seperate games that invent the game a second time.

Wind Waker itself could be considered as a reboot. Wind Waker HD will be a remake of the original however.

Fable Anniversary, as far as we know, has a new engine (new in the sense of different and more recent than Fable), it has the expansion included, "almost instant loading times" (not sure how bad it was before), a different save system, achievements, SmartGlass support and a new interface

I hear what you're saying. As for me, I think I prefer a remake that builds off the original source material in some new way. Something like Resident Evil (2002) or Bionic Commando Rearmed.

I hope both Wind Waker and Fable add something beside remastered graphics, shorter loading times, achievements, etc. Otherwise I'm fine replaying the original games. Although I suppose it's nice for people who missed the games the first time.

Well Halo Anniversary added 3D, online play & Kinect voice controls.
Biggest change being the online play obviously, though that can't be expected for Fable or WW.

I used to think Fable was a great series, then I got Fable 3 on steam.... That was the worst game I have ever played. I haven't played any of the other games in the series, but Fable 3 was horrible. I certainly hope the first was better than the third, but I am rooting for windwaker all the way.

Fable HD is going to be great, but honestly, lets get real here. Wind Walker HD is kind of the Wii U's only AAA game, even if it is just a HD remake, its going to sell a lot because there isn't much else on wiiU.

I dont even know what makes people say Fable.

Zelda WW no doubt. Fable isnt that popular and the Xbox one still has no userbase wheres the Wii U has a few million already.

edit: i just read this is for the 360 and not Xbox one as i thought. That beeing the case, its like some are saying. Fable might sell more at the beggining but Zelda will sell more on lifetime sales.

Well, as they say, different strokes for different folks, I'm sure lot of Fable fans would disagree with you.

I, for example, find Fable 1 more fun to play than OoT, but than again I find TP more enjoyable than Fable 1.

Maybe the only one that's been announced so far to release in 2013, but we know that there's more coming.
Let's say a 3D Mario game and a Smash Bros. game come out plus some multiplats (Just Dance 5) and people will still buy NSMBU in droves (especially the new owners) and honestly I only see Wind Waker HD as the 5th most wanted game this year.

Fable easily for the first.. 3-4 years until the WiiU gets a decent user-base it's self.
