From PS2, to PSP to 3DS there isn't much more graphical updates to pull off at this point. Unless they make a MH for Wii U or PS4 you won't see any improvement at all if it remains on 3DS territory.

Why can't we get any nice colours in NA? At least Europe gets the silver/black, and they had the option for a solid black in the Monster Hunter 3G Bundle. All we get is bright Red/Black or Bright Blue/Black...

I'll be over here, patiently waiting for the enhanced Wii U version with all the bonus monsters.
