Forums - Gaming - This E3 already near, what is the thing you most fear that your preferred company's competitor will do?

Like the title says.

I really don't want Micro securing exclusivity deals, be it permanent or temporary, for third party games I like and somehow I can smell them coming. What about you?

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Probably for Sony, it would be price. They said they will not take a big loss like they did with the PS4 but the PS4 will be a lot cheaper to manufacture. If they undercut the Xbox ONE by a big margin, say $100, it could be worrisome for Microsoft's efforts in Europe.

The chances of it happening are slim but, you never know!

Does...does it really matter? Why should people be "scared" that another company which they won't likely purchase does something? I didn't realise some people were so "invested", but there you go.

Regardless, I'm afraid EA will launch a console.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Definately microsofts exclusive deals, would hate to see too much good content snatched away even if temporarily by Microsofts $$$$

I am not expecting much from E3 so they just have to show games and stop with that "TV in your living Room!!!!!!1" bullshit, and I also don't care about graphics, I have a PC.

It can do. Nothing wrong with picking sides. The site is crazy about, "what is best". I thought the topic was a good change of pace or another look at what's to come.

EA bring out a console? They surely wouldn't release their games on the X1, WiiU or PS4 in that case. I suppose the DRM route which everyone thinks EA has a hand in, (not sure if it's been confirmed though) could be the Trojan horse, so to speak.

The PS4 will probably be cheaper due to no Kinect, but not $100 cheaper, more like $50. M$ will take the loss to make them the same price

I fear an exclusive Mirror's Edge 2

They just launched Origin. If they were to launch a console it would be on the next generation (well, the next next gen)

But if a publisher was to launch a console and fail hard, it would be Ubisoft. There still young and naive.

Halo 5, Mirror's Edge 2, FF versus XIII, a random Tales of and Dark Soul 2 exclusive on Xbox One.

Well at least, not gonna happen for FFversus cause Nomura said a while ago that xbox was shit. But I feel like Versus is not gonna happen at all =(

Agreed, they seem to think that's the way forward for them at the moment, waving money at third parties until exclusivity happens, only a matter of time before they secure an entire game.

Just a nice person :)

Sony doing DRM of course or always online, but DRM would effect me more personally. I buy new, but I sell a lot of my games and only keep the cream of the crop. This would cut into my profits and I wouldn't be able to buy nearly as many at launch (I have the money but I have a budget for games that I never go over each year).
