I think Sleeping Dogs is the first game ever to make me excited about driving safely. Online challenges will do that to you.

My record is 38 seconds. Trasharmdsister12 has somehow managed 2 minutes 45 seconds. It's insane.

More generally, I've been pleasantly surprised by it. The melee combat is really quite solid, and the story isn't half bad either.

Go to slide 4.

We may actually get a Sleeping Dogs 2. Sleeping Dogs was far better than I expected it to be, so Im quite hopeful that this happens.

That's definitely one of the stronger storylines, yes. I felt like the College of Winterhold and the Civil War quests were really underdeveloped, though. I mean, with the College, it's basically "do a handful of quests, explore this dwemer ruin, well done on becoming archmage" whereas Oblivion had a long and really entertaining quest series that went through the various mages' guilds to the Arcane University.

I suppose the Arcane University was far more powerful in Cyrodiil than the College in Skyrim, but still.

Yeh that dwemer ruin was loong, also rather dull, to be honest the dwarven locations are my least favourite. I started the Dark Brotherhood questline earlier and it seems great so far, then onto Dawnguard after that :)

Just a nice person :)

Well, been playing The Last Remnant lately, and I have to say who thought putting three bosses - THREE BOSSES. THREE FUCKIN' BOSSES - "almost" together  (you can save after the second boss) was a good idea? Seriously, this is frustrating as fuck. At least the game gave you three "revive herbs" for the third boss. But hey! That is some UNBALANCED, LUCK-BASED BOSS they put there. That fucking asshole brings with him an army + some kind of remnant that 1-kill any unit (don't worry, if that thing doesn't 1-kill you, he'll make sure to lower your defense, your attack, all your fucking stats, and let you almost dead). The boss itself isn't that hard. He's got some attacks, but the real danger is that thing. But once one of my squadron fall, it's a lost battle. If I try to revive them, the boss interrupt my unit, then the thing would come and finish the job. I've tried this battle four times already. I can't believe how ridiculously powered he is.

You wanna know what's fun about this? This ain't the final boss, you know. No, I haven't pass the first disc (game is split in two discs) and this fucker is showing up.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but that reads to me like "oh god, this was a huge mistake, we should never do this again" rather than "let's make a sequel". Which, I suppose, is fair enough, considering those sales figures.

Also, I noticed that the guy's name was Matsuda and it made me read the whole thing in this guy's voice:

"I believe that we achieved our primary goal of both reinvigorating existing IPs and creating new IPs."

If theyre pleased about creating a new IP, I think theres a chance we could be seeing a second game. They achieved the primary goal of creating it afterall, so why not?

Ill keep my fingers crossed.

To be ontopic -

I have recently been playing through a few games. Skyrim, FIFA, Fire Emblem, Super Mario 3D Land, Luigi's Mansion 2 and The Old Republic, along with some Don't Starve.

Don't Starve is quite fun!

That's good to hear. I recently purchased it on steam, along with Bioshock Infinite and Dust: An Elysian Tail. Except for Bioshock, they were on sale so I took the plunge.  I've heard good things about Sleeping Dogs from my friends. Telling me it's an underapreciated gem that nobody gave a chance.

After I'm done with Dust and Bioshock, I intend on diving into it. It's good to know that the sentiments about it is pretty much the same in my circles. Gives me confidence I didn't just buy on impulse. =P

Dunno if this counts, but I recently made a deal with myself that I can only buy old games that I want (Stuff like Shadow Hearts and Chrono Trigger) off eBay by using only the money which I make off selling games on eBay, which I buy at garage sales. Got about $300 worth of games 2 weekends ago, and picked up 3 games for myself (Dark Cloud 2, Saga Frontier, and Donkey Konga with drums). Just put them all online for sale, and am hoping to have enough money to buy Super Mario RPG soon......

I also bought my copy of Forza Horizon for $15 new, and I see that it's selling online for abour $30. Just beat the game, so why not sell it, and maybe pick it up down the road for $5 for my collection? More money for used games..

Game related - I'm really loving Lunar, started to play Wii a bit lately, I might start Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
