Easiest way I found is just hitting the "Delete" button twice. Not "backspace".

This is how I do it:

Take this quote tree from the OP.

I only want to keep the last 3, so I click on the third quote (Being Simonsays) right after the name and semi colons, then hit "Delete" twice. I wrote in the quote where I would click before hitting "delete" twice.

I get this:

Can't do that on my iPhone though so I will use the method from the OP.

Usually a big problem in those graphics-comparison threads or others of its kind. The forums already have huge sigs and other ads in the middle. One has to scroll for a while to see something meaningful.

I usually keep my quote trees at two which is under the legal limit :P I also use the click and drag method but sometimes it leaves an annoying empty quote box .-.

and ban quoting long OPs in one quote. Really annoying seeing a big OP quoted with one sentence below saying something stupid like "you are crazy OP won't happen"

You can't just outright ban it. Sometimes quoting everything is necessary for the point you want to make.

Make it auto delete for the tree, whenever it goes 4 on the tree the last one is auto erased =~]
