Why do you need to do it secretly?

You're not supposed to unplug anything. Obviously if you unplug the console, you can't watch tvtvtvtvtvsportssportssportstvtvtvtvtvtdogwithphone

Which is weird. We can "turn off" the camera but we still gotta have it plugged in......

The paranoia revolving around this is really ridiculuous.
Just make the Kinect optional. It solves everything. Sell it separately to people who are into that sort of thing.
It would have the added bonus of reducing the price of the console. Lower price = more people buy it at launch.
Forcing the Kinect on everyone is just a lose-lose situation.

I don't think it solves everything. The major problem with Kinect this generation was that not everyone who had an Xbox 360 had one, so after the initial push of software petered out, it got very few games. If developers could count on every Xbone owner having a Kinect, more of them would see fit to develop stuff for it.
So a Kinect with every Xbone makes perfect sense. Forcing it to be connected at all times, less so. It's pretty clear that they just want to listen to me fap.

It's to sell us stuff they put on adds and with kinect they can tell which adds make you fap, once they collect all the data about you, you'll see a lot more of fap inducing adds, that way they hope you will buy their shit. The xbawks one is just a big marketing tool

No, the reason why kinect is bundled is simple.
Kinect wasn't really being used by devs because not everyone had a kinect. They didn't want to spend time making a game that is enhanced by kinect in a good way and also make the game so it remains good without kinect. That's just messy and waste of money.
So now that kinect comes with every console, devs don't have to worry if you have a kinect or not. They can easily build games taking full advantage of it.
So this was an intelligent move by microsoft. Sony is doing the exact same thing with the PS Eye; bundling it with every console.
