To sum it up, I do not like the business plan of the xbox one.. i dont like having an ID account tracked by the cloud along with face reconiztion and having a camera always on watching me/listening and may charge me for used games, having more people over watching a movie and being hit by little fees here and there. I am sure the xbox one will be a great console for gaming but the fundementals of it is somthing i dont want to see gaming evolve into i think its a sort of thing best left out of the gaming industry and focus just on games itself not a cable box or obtaining all of your identity..

So to not support the new era of gaming microsoft offers i am not going to get a xbox one, as a nintendo fan i will be looking at getting a non nintendo console just for 3rd party and i think i will vote with my wallet and go with ps4 as i cant support the whole theory of what xbox one is or going for. Maybe that is why its getting so much negative attention because gamers dont hate the xbox franchise but hate where its headed and i agree with them..  Not a xbox hate thread but i just cant agree with what they are doing at microsoft. Maybe i am paranoid or?  but if this will become the new standard of what gaming will turn into in the console field, then i will have to jump ship and strictly go pc. But i cant see nintendo or sony doing this but if the xbox1 is a huge succsess it may tempt them as a corporation.

TLDR: Don't agree with the features of the xbox1 as a gaming console, fear the gaming industry could head in a bad direction.

i completely agree with you. it doesnt make you a bad person, it doesnt make you a fanboy. you simply dont agree with some of the bullshit MS is forcing down peoples throats. believe it or not some people dont like the idea of a camera watching and listening to them 24/7 in their own house. some people dont like that they cant borrow a game from a friend who already payed 60 bucks and bought the game already. and some people dont like the extreme focus on tv and multimedia and see no use of the xbox ones features. you cant be forced to like it, you have your own opinion, it doesnt make you a fanboy or a bad person.

I won't be getting one either as I prefer my privacy. always connected means they can always look at us even if the camera is "off"
