Hmm consoles have no advantages over pc huh.
*Better/more exclusives
*don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade so they are much cheaper
*aren't as much of a hassle to set up
*games don't require memorizing lots of buttons like on keyboards.

-There are pc exclusives and games that play better on pc than console.  It comes down to personal preference.

-PCs arn't as expensive as the average person believes.  Most people need a computer anyway, so why not upgrade to a gaming one.

-Agreed

-You can use any controller (360, Dualshock, 3rd party) you'd like, including keyboard and mouse.

For a general use PC, people prefer laptops or notebooks. Much more practical and usefel.

Around the Network

Nintendo games, JRPGs.

The rest is better on PC.

I find it more practical to own a pc and a mobile device.  Depends on the individual i guess.

Doesn't change anything to the fact that having first party support in an advantage that consoles have over pc. But I guess some people will choose to overlook that. No big deal.

Except that there are a lot of PC exclusives as well. It's hardly a one-way street.

You can watch tv now and look for statistiques

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Around the Network

-cheap price
-system stability, every game that comes for PS4 you know will work with no frame rate or compatibility issues and you only have to buy the console as it is. No upgrading necessary
-easy to use, plug in and play
-more dedicated support in the form of exclusives
-stronger community and easy to find multiplayer games on consoles

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Consoles have the following over PCs:
- Price
- Dedicated game development
- Ease of use
- Less hassle with drivers and setup

- Steam sales are pretty badass. Unless XBox/PS4 has some insane Games on Demand deals over the years, I think the PC is around the same in price when you factor in a lot of things.

- Good point.

- Better point.

- Haven't had any issues with games since Windows 7, not sure about Windows 8 though lol

It's just that simple.

I suppose you're right though I fail to see what a pc does better than a laptop.

Well, to be honest, I don't buy games on my PS3 or Vita - PS+....

How does the PS3 handle it then? A prompt auto-play like feature when you first insert the disc?

No prompt... you insert the disc and it run like every other PlayStation console... you press Eject and it stop and go back to XMB.

PS. You can disable the auto-play in Sytem Setthing but the default is that way.

I meant installation of the software. PS3 has mandatory installs for most of its games doesn't it? If PS3 can handle it in a user friendly way, I'm more than sure the Xone will.
