Uniform hardware's just about the only one I can think of. Otherwise, if you're into Western games, I don't really see why you'd get a console anymore.

Mostly for the exclusives I guess, most of my PS3 library is actually exclusives. I also have a gaming PC that I just recently got. So i'll be adding more PC games soon enough, but I still gotta have me some PS exclusives.

Uh... did you miss the reasons people gave so far?

No. I just don't put much stock in any of them, beyond "plays Japanese games."

So, you don't find exclusives a reliable reason?

I personally don't care for Microsoft or Sony's exclusives. I like Nintendo's exclusives, but their systems are far less PC-like than the other two (hence why PC devs don't port their games there), so I'm excluding them from this conversation. And the number of big Western console games that don't appear on the PC are few and far between.
So no, not really. *shrug*
Hmm consoles have no advantages over pc huh.
*Better/more exclusives
*don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade so they are much cheaper
*aren't as much of a hassle to set up
*games don't require memorizing lots of buttons like on keyboards.

Doesn't change anything to the fact that having first party support in an advantage that consoles have over pc. But I guess some people will choose to overlook that. No big deal.
It's certainly subjective. Some people just have narrower tastes in gaming and can be satisfied solely off one platform. I personally can't, because I like everything from tactical JRPGs and open world WRPGs, to games like Vanquish and Gears of War, to Demon's Souls and Skyward Sword, and so on.

-There are pc exclusives and games that play better on pc than console. It comes down to personal preference.
-PCs arn't as expensive as the average person believes. Most people need a computer anyway, so why not upgrade to a gaming one.
-Agreed
-You can use any controller (360, Dualshock, 3rd party) you'd like, including keyboard and mouse.
