It all depends on how much PS3 will resist in the market.

PS3 has another 2 years of good sales imo.

The holiday season will be a good indication too. PS3 seemed like the more deserving 2nd place spot anyway.

It will be interesting to see if the new consoles will immediately takeoff in sales against their predecessors.

I imagine PS360 will still look very appealing to consumers this fall and they might receive price cuts too.

Wii U was able to, for that time period anyway. This next generation will be quite the interesting one to say the least.

Fair enough, but that is assuming PS3 sales don't drop after PS4 releases. :)

PS3 can still compete with price. It will get another price cut or two (or maybe even three) before its death, and it'll hit quite a sweet spot with the new prices. PS4, on the other hand, will cost a lot - too much for the people considering a PS3 right now. PS4 won't kill PS3 sales any time soon.
