I should make a bet that says Sony will do something similar to what Xbox one does. Any takers?

Which ones? There are a lot of them. Mandatory fees for used games? Always online? (once every 24 hours) PS Eye always on? Anything else? Clarify and I'll probably take the bet.

Sony will do something similar to what MS does with the used games. regardless if it's mandatory or not. Everything else that is considered negative about the Xbox doesn't bother me.

Ohh well the difference between mandatory and not is a big deal imo, so no game from me then. I'll tell you what I think will happen with the PS4 - Sony will confirm once again the "up to the publisher" policy  about used games, I expect a fee similar to the online pass, close in price as well, not full game price a'la MS, and I'm pretty sure PS4 won't demand to install the game to the hdd and activate it. So better for the consumer, but they will have to somehow manage the second hand market, and piracy to keep good relations with 3rd parties.

Yeah I expect something similar to that as well.

Seems like people are already using the preorder capability on german Amazon to express their love for the new console:

(For the non-german-speakers: This is german Amazon's preorder cancelation page)

This could use it'sown tread, but it is similar to DirtyP's info in terms of relivence.

That is quite a difference. So much for Xbox definitely keeping US and UK. At least they have Iran.

Weird that people are pre-ordering now since there really is no way to ensure they will get it. The price is a place holder that is likely to drop. There isn't even any guarantee it will come out this year. Microsoft doesn't even know how many they'll have available yet.

In the reveal presentation, they announced that it would be available later this year.

amazon.de is a great indicator, bright future ahead

There are still so many unsolved mysteries with ps4, still people preordered iirc.

For Germany it *is* big and a great indicator. Especially bigger than any social media hype.

What's up with your point? Of course this doesn't tell anything more than hype in Germany.

Please tell me the EUR 999,99 is a placeholder?
