This man is contradicting himself. The console is made "by gamers, for gamers" and yet their "vision" they presented us was mostly entirely non-gaming.

Words aside, I think it's pretty safe to assume they got all this general stuff out the door to attract mainstream media. They'll then focus on games at E3.

That's not a good first impression.

PS4 was revealed in February....they had to show more to fill in the few months gap for E3.

MS's conference is 2 weeks before E3. 2 weeks.

In the span of an entrie generation, 2 weeks is nothing.

Don said that what they showed today was their main focus with the Xone, and it wasn't about games. That doesn't sound so promising.

"When asked about the lack of games in a post-event interview with GameTrailer TV’s Geoff Keighley, Microsoft’s Don Mattrick said: “Look, Xbox is created by gamers for gamers, so that’s our core. That’s our DNA. That’s what we do. We decided that we were going to do an unveil, tell people the name, let them see the box, let them see our vision. And we’re going to show such amazing content at E3. Be planned to be blown away.”

That's a pretty broad statement. I think he's refering to it being an all in one device. MS isn't stupid, they know they need the core gamers and exclusives to thrive in the gaming market. I'll reserve judgement for E3.

Mainly due to the lack of first party developers, but they did release the following exclusives in the last year including Halo 4, Fable the Journey, Gears: Judgement, Forza Horizon, Star Wars Kinect, Dance Central 3, and plenty of xbla games. They've been busy building up first party the last several years, with majority working on Xbox One games. Seriously, it's not hard to wait two weeks to see what MS has. Then go ahead and critize them for lack of exclusives if they don't show up.

Ofcourse they will have games, cause they said them self that they have 15 games coming! And even if they are delayed a 6 months, they still will come out in the first year.

Nevermind what Don also said about E3, and what Aaron Greenberg said. You are just purposely filtering out things to get your own negative picture.

They are saving the bulk of games for E3. I dont know how to make that any clearer to you. I will remember this and watch your responses at E3.

Moving resources to next gen? Late period in the gen allready had sufficient build up of 360 sales momentum. 3rd parties were doing their job by then.

A consoles first few years are most important. MS knows this.
