Forums - Microsoft - Steven Spielberg makes live action Halo tv series

The absolute worst part of the whole conference is Steven Spielberg's involvement in the Halo TV show. I fear he will dumb it down and ruin it. Ruin it bad he will. Terra Nova - I wanted to like that show cause it had some good actors And dinosaurs, but even that couldn't save it. Seriously, Steven – create your own show!

The Halo service 'Forward Unto Dawn' team was great! They should be doing the show - smart, slick, good acting, and very talented. But no, some guy who used to make good movies runs in and takes over. So very sad about that I am.

No, this is terrible, terrible news.

(And I did like Boom Blox, but Steven, make your own series - don't steal a good one and ruin it.)

As a fellow old timer, I've been through a whole lot of Spielberg too and I'm pretty much in agreement with you. I think I am slightly more optmistic than you however based on the strength of how serious 343 are about Halo (like Sales said).

This was a pretty cool surprise though and I totally didn't see it coming. I would think that they would save such big news for E3 but I guess they have a lot of other big news for then.

I really hope they nail this though, please oh please don't let Spielberg ruin it.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Thanks man, I thought perhapse I was being too negative.  I want to say NO to Halo: Goonies.

And yes, hopefully 343 will stay in control and he will just be a figurhead.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

HELL YEAH BABE!!!!

Yay!!!

This a really good ideia... the Halo fans wants a expanded universe over Halo... so the TV series seems a good start and can be a massive success.

But I think the time to reveal it was not the better one... not in a console reveal... a Halo game could be a better impact.

Start? Novels, graphic novels, anime movie, Forward Unto Dawn come to mind. Just saying.

Now was best...because if it was E3, Im sure we would get "but wherez the gamez?!". Better to get all non game content out of the way, which MS did

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

If you are lucky, they only bought his name for the credits

seriously, i wouldn't want him involved into anything remotely concerning Sci-Fi

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Damn! I was just going to say " Microsoft steals yet another property from Nintendo" Spielberg who once worked on Boom Blox is now working for Microsoft on Halo tv series.

Lol.

It is going to be good. Anything by him is.

Jurassic Park 3 wants to speak with you.
