Yay! Who is Precursor games, besides wanting to make an Eternal Darkness game? Yay!

They are Silicon Knights.

Basically Silicon Knights have closed own due to they huge amount of debts and the rulers have created another studio, Precursor Games, to continue their mad voyage to hell. That's why they claim that "Shadow of the Eternals" is a spiritual successor of "Eternal Darkness".

Sweet Jesus! I did not know. Well, at least they are still around in spirit. Bringing back a game that was not a huge seller is not a good start for their new Fledgling company.

And as you can see the kickstarter campaign is performing badly.   I though Eternal Darkness in the gamecube had quite some diehard fans that would support this.

JEMC, i just can't bring myself to take the time to point out all of the things wrong with that statement.

After checking it, I see that it's half true, half false.

Silicon Knights are still alive, yes, but everything they got was sold to Precursor Games.

At a practical level, we can say that Precursor is the new Silicon Knights.

Eternal Darkness fans are often quite militant, and I say that as an Eternal Darkness fan...

It's easily one of my favorite games...

But as much as I love Eternal Darkness, I don't care for Dennis Dyack, and can't help but be skeptical of this entire endeavor, which is why I would not give any money until time of purchase...

The fact that I have no money to give makes that decision much easier...

Have a nice day...

I see, hopefully Nintendo can get done a proper sequel to Eternal Darkness then; because by the looks of the kickstarter campaign, Precursor games are not going to make it.

they definitely won't make their goal, but that should be expected. If i recall, eternal darkness sold about .5mill copies? how many of those people actually became die-hard fans? of those die-hard fans how many actually know about this project? of those who know about it how many own a wii-u or play pc games? And of those remaining, how many have the disposable income to pledge more than the minimum 5 dollars?
So yeah, no surprise. As usual, i hope i'm wrong, the more i see of the game, the more i want to play it.

Finally, a POSITIVE Wii U thread. Ill look into the sequel if it releases, but my main focus will still be on the next Smash. E3 looks VERY promising.

Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD

Makes you wonder where all the Nintendo fans are??

If a PS fan is making positive threads, they are missing currently. :)

It's not the sales of the Wii U that is driving EA away, it's the fact that they're butthurt because Nintendo didn't allow the Origins Store on the Wii U, but allowed Ubisoft's Uplay.
