Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Gamers: Do you even care that we are not getting EA games in the foreseeable future?

Last game I bought from EA was NHL 2003 on Xbox, so I don't care; but it would help the Wii U to have their games available on the system.

I wanna see some Japanese love for Wii U. I don't really play western developers games, and when I do, it's on PC.

Yes  for me it would be as well way more important that the wiiu gets Japanese games. I would love to see dark souls games for wiiu and games from square enix like final fantasy, nintendos partnership with sega is as well a real awesome thing. So this things are way more important than boring ea crap games for me.

And I hope that nintendo gets mistwalker jrpg games again.

Well, after many years of being a PC gamer, Nintendo managed to get me to buy a console with the Wii.

So far they are failing to motivate me to get a WiiU.

Does a lack of EA games hurt? Absolutely. On Wii I bought, Tiger Woods (x3), Boom Blox (x2), EA Sport Active (x3), Need for Speed (x2), NHL Slapshot, their Tennis title (Wii motion+), Dead Space: Extraction, Metal of Honor: Heroes 2 and on 360 Dragon's Age and Mass Effect. That's off the top of my head, I'm sure there were probably more.

So knowing that most especially Tiger Woods won't be appearing on WiiU is a huge disincentive to buy, especially when PS4 and Xbox Infinity (or whatever it's called) will have those games.

The only game I've played from EA in the past 2 generations was Dragon Age 2, on the PC, and only because it was at a massive discount. Their sports series are simply boring and uninventive. NHL Hitz and NFL Blitz totally destroyed EA's offerings back in the days of the GameCube.

To be entirely honest, if EA was to go bankrupt and close shop tomorrow, I wouldn't be affected at all. I don't buy their products anyway. Their studios aren't worth the high cost they pay for them.

I have to agree that the lack of Tiger Woods is very unfortunate given how well the Wii entries performed.

I'm not one of those who think everything EA does is crap, but they do seem to be doing less and less that I care about. NFS Most Wanted was a downgraded Burnout Paradise, Mass Effect seems to be polishing up gameplay as the story spirals down into clichéd gritty badassery designed to appeal to dudebros.

Even their more interesting WM+ golf and tennis games brought pointless RPG baggage from non-motion sports gaming along with it. (You don't need to simulate my in-game avatar improving with skill points, because I'm actually getting better at using my virtual racket/club, no thanks to the digital handicap you gave me so you could include an experience system.)

Other than that, I'm hard pressed to think of anything else EA is doing in the console space that's even interesting.

I honestly feel like every single console* has enough good games for it to justify their purchase over the course of about half a decade. One third party publisher is not going to make me regret the purchase of any console. The only thing I care about from EA is Mass Effect, which I can live without because there are a crap ton of games I have sitting around in their shrink wrap and a ton more I'm going to acquire, and Madden, which I usually buy a year to two late anyway. I haven't even gotten ME3 on the Wii U yet. After EA sabotaged the Wii U port by announcing the trilogy set right before launch, I wasn't going to get suckered into wasting my money in case they announced it late for Wii U. Now I'll just wait to find it used and cheap somewhere. Or get it on PC.

i dont care. i never buy ea games

Not really.

EA Partners does kinda bum me out though. Insomniac's Fuse and Bioware games would have been nice for Wii-U.
