Super Mario Wii U (NSMBU), Wii Fit, Zombie (Zombi U) were all announced months before this list came out btw. The only thing there that clearly references a game that was announced at a later date is the Yoshi's Land listing.

Because they didn't lie about giving "unprecedented" support beforehand. Hyping and failing to deliver is far worse than not delivering at all.

Every third party says this about every platform they support that they're planning on doing some exciting things with the system, etc. etc. etc. If you're going to hold EA liable for that, you might as well string up every third party for lying through their rear end about supporting the Wii with all types of buzzwords like "unique", "ground breaking", "innovative", that they used to describe what eventually became crap shovelware projects.

But those companies still delivered. Even though there only were a few good games among the masses of shovelware they were released. As I take gaming somewhat seriously I read reviews of all games for the Wii before buying any of them, so I only played the good games which gave me no incentive to be mad at the publisher. EA however released a whopping 3-4 games on the WiiU now before throwing the towel.

I won't pretend I liked EA before though (like some others do), I loathed them from the moment they closed my (then) favorite dev studio.

MGS for the 3DS? let meguess your either gonna say spin off or another port right? FF could be lightning returns as it's the 3rd game of the XIII series.

Delivered what? Steaming garbage? Square-Enix's actual production on Nintendo consoles just as an example is about 100x worse than EA's.

Fact is most third parties treat Nintendo like crap when it comes to their consoles.

EA is crap. The new SSX was awesome. But that's it. I have a dozen EA games on my Xbox360 and I never play any of em. It's all crap.

Just some 3rd-party games which I really enjoyed (and which are all rated pretty good):

Anno, FF: Crystal Chronicles: The crystal bearers, Red Steel 2, Overlord: Dark Legend, Prince of Persia (Rival Swords+Forgotten Sands), all dem LEGO games, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Modern Warfare Reflex, GoldenEye, Avatar, No More Heroes 1+2, Rayman Origins, Monster Hunter 3, Star Wars TFU...

Like I said: They didn't always deliver good games, but they did deliver, something EA now doesn't despite their announcement at the E3 2011. That's why they are hated upon.

It's relevant. I have a Wii U, and I really like it. I would like to play all of my games on it. I can play EA games on my 360 or PC, but I would prefer them on Wii U. I actually haven't bought many EA sports games in a while, but I would pick up NHL if they offered it. I also get all Bioware games so I would get those. If EA continues to boycot Wii U after 360 dies, I'll have to look at picking up another system (which I may do anyway) or just use my PC.
