Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Direct- My thoughts on it.

I tuned into the Nintendo Direct this morning, and I have to say that I am not too impressed with what was announced. I guess I expected little more than just another Mario and sonic winter game and details on games we already new were coming out. I thought they were supposed to announce NEW games coming to Wii U. The year of luigi dlc for New Super Mario U looked Ok, and the hockey part in the Mario and sonic winter games looked pretty cool. I really wanted to see something new and exciting for Wii U, and the only thing that really caught my attention was when Iwata mentioned that you can use the Wii mote with just the gamepad as the screen for Pikmin. I wasn't really interested in the fronk tossing island game or the other puzzle game they showed.

I thought Nintendo was waiting for this day to announce something special for Wii U, considering all the negative attention they are receiving from third party developers jumping ship. They could have at least gave us some info on Bayonetta 2 and shown us some screen shots. As a Wii U owner, I didn't walk away too happy after watching todays presentation. I really hope Nintendo has an ace up their sleeve for their next Direct presentation, or they will definitely have trouble moving units this summer.

How did you feel about todays presentation? What would you like to see in their next nintendo Direct?

they never said new games. If you pay attention, before January ND they said there were going to be a lot of new games announcement, not this time around.
Now, they still got some new games and dates. It can't be awesome every time even if I want that as a gamer. But remember ND are approximately six per year.

????????????? But why would they announce new games bays before the E3??

mmm... I felt like.... that was just ok. But nothing really impressive.

There´s nothing that we didn´t know about previously, just some new information about games that are about to be launched, Pikmin, Super Luigi U, Donkey Kong etc.

It seems that we must wait until E3 to see what Nintendo has inside its sleeves

Now, one thing that called may attention was the next Sonic game. A new platforming adventure game with Sonic produced by Sega and Nintendo ? Something real GOOD must be coming ! All tha classic Sega games on the Eshop is also A LOT interesting to me.
It seems that Sega is finding its way of survival by partnering with Nintendo. Will Sega be the "next Rare" for Nintendo ?

i didnt watch it yet... im at work... can anyone type the timeline of the ND??? please? i will owe you my love if somebody would type what happened... event he list of announced games or whatever would help

im being completely serious here and i dont want to start anything so if you are just looking to argue dont reply. but does anyone find iwata completely boring? his presentation is just so dull. even though i dislike riggie a lot he still has much better presentation skills. they should get someone who has charisma when presenting to make these ND's

I think this ND was unnecessary. They should just have waited for the E3 ones, this one was only to fill the space and get rid of games they won't mention on the E3 NDs (aside of Pikmin 3 most likely).

wow. that's pretty harsh. Like they were shovelware or something...

Not too good, rather boring to be honest (I sadly came in a bit late and missed the sonic lost world announcement, which would have helped a bit), but they said it was before e3 or something like that, so it seems like we just experienced the calm before the storm phase. Anyhow, the NA direct was ended by Reggie saying they had no hardware at this e3, it was all about the games. I'm hoping they'll be able to deliver this time (and if retro is making what I'm hoping, I will be satisfied).

it seems like alot of people were expecting this nd to be e3. not sure why. gotta good look at 90% of the wii-u games coming out this year.
