They don't showcase the character moving in a 3-dimensional space which scares me. I hope it's not just up-and-down and side-to-side again.

They are definitely free of grid-based movement in the city. Definitely. If not, that is some wizardry to make it appear otherwise.

i wonder what is the average hour to finish the in-game

I sure hope so - it still kind of looks grid based to me

EDIT: I see what you mean at 0:17 --> I hope that's not automatically moving with the street

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

The Fairy strengths and weaknesses make absolutely no sense. It's like they said "here is a list of pokemon types that need nerfs. Let's make Fairy good against them. Now here is a list of pokemon types that need more use, so let's make the Fairy type weak against them."

I see no problem here, types need more balance. Poison is completely useless.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I see it too. Also the first time I saw 0:18, I thought she was moving back and forth, but it's just her body turning with her steps.

Thank you for the video, very excited for this entry into the series.

I definitely agree that types need more balance, but I feel as though this was a somewhat thoughtless and "easy" way to do it. "Let's just make a type that sucks against bad tiers and rocks against top tiers but doesn't feel coherent."

Sooo hyped!

Whereas bug is coherent? Strong against dark and psychic, why? Why is fighting super effective against dark, but not very effective against bug? Not everything makes as much sense as electric > water or fire > grass.

I understand your concern, but I don't really care what they call the type if it balances things a bit. I'd love to have an excuse to experiment with some under-used types like poison.

Not liking the graphics at all. Honestly thought they finally got 2d right in Black/White with their idle sprite animations and that they could have expanded on that.
