Wait, are you doubting 1 pokemon game makes it as though its not the most popular franchise in japan? Thats like saying Gran Turismo isnt popular at all anymore Cuz of GT6 sales which are below 3mil (while the rest are 10mil+ aside from the psp game).

Its not 100% based on sales, its based on a mixture of things, pokemon is definitely #1 there, i mean New Super Mario Bros outsold the last 4 gens of pokemon but it is by no means > right? :0

As for DQ vs MH, thats debatable imo. DQ imo is definitely bigger than MH. I think some just look at MH4+MHP3 sales. Animal Crossing you can say is bigger than MH based on that as well :)

Edit: Pokemon XY isnt as big as the other 5 gens. All others have crossed 5mil mark. Pokemon XY should be somewhere around 4.35mil (4.45mil with digital). Its second year is wat is the problem. Funny though as Europe has sales doing very well compared to other s in the franchise

If MK8 is able to keep this kind of pace for the whole week, we can even expect it to finish anywhere between 350-400 points at release date.

That would be a HUGE success based on Wiiu userbase.

By the way, the WiiU console , which has been absent of amazon jp most wanted top 100 for months is now in the top 40. Another good sign...

He specifically said recently. Animal Crossing being bigger than MH is definitely arguable. MH and AC are bigger than DQ. MH's last two PSP entries both did similar or more than the highest selling DQ (MHP3 doing 4.87 mill is 500k more than any DQ). B/W2 and X/Y are both way down from Diamond/Pearl.

like i said your looking at it as more of a sales thing. Look at Zelda+GT. Last entries are nowhere near the levels of previous titles (in sales), does not mean they are less popular. And why did you compare BW2? Thats not a new gen installment, it doesn't count with the other 5 installments!

Also BW2 is the best selling pokemon director cut (installments after the new gen pair) in japan! In that sense, Pokemon BW2 are both way Up from Emerald/Platinum/Crstal :p

Srry i misread that, even taking into account recent, Pokemon XY is still the highest selling gen 8 games and by far. (Its still the biggest franchise)

Edit: AC is #1 in japan still, that thing has so much sales digital, must be over 4.5mil by now :)
