If Smash Bros Wii U doesn't appear until September then that game is doomd in Japan.

No real surprise here though really...good day for Dark Souls however.

FFXV isn't on there either. I'll join you on the Doom train, this entire industry is screwed in Japan.

I thought they started taking FFXV preorders?

I worry about Gust.  They don't seem to be having the same successes since being bought by TK.  Atelier has been seeing a bit of a minor downwards turn in sales and it seems like Ar Tonelico/Ar no Surge is down too.

And they're my second favourite of the PlayStation faithful behind Nihon Falcom.

To be fair, this is like the only place that offers any kind of numbers for Japanese pre-orders.  We should be thankful they're doing it at all.

Remember though these series are basically aimed at children and younger teens, so it makes sense that they may show a slightly lower pre-order and FW performance but with slightly longer legs. That's not to say that people won't pre-order them, but I'd wait until week 3 or 4 before passing final judgement (could be wrong though)

Don't forget the Escha&Logy anime next month. That's a pretty big step for Gust's business (along the character goods/mangas/LN that are multiplying)
