Forums - Sales Discussion - COMG! Japan Pre-order Chart Thread - Daily updates!

Unfortunately I see SAO as an oddity on COMG. I don't expect it to do as well nationwide.

Around the Network

Dragonball - 113
Sekiro - 27
Yoshi - 23

Half the weekly list is 4 points or lower, slow week.

And yeah, SAO will likely have a rather poor ratio in terms of COMG points to retail sales. Probably not as bad as a super niche VN though,

1 NSw Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission 114 pt
2 PS4 SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE 27 pt
3 NSw Yoshi's Crafted World 23 pt
4 NSw Minecraft 14 pt
5 NSw Super Smash Brothers Ultimate 10 pt
6 PS4 Division 2 (Normal Edition) 9 pt
7 NSw New Super Mario Brothers U Deluxe 7 pt
8 PS4 Devil May Cry 5 6 pt
9 NSw Dragon Quest Builders 2 Destruction God Sido and the Island of the Sky 6 pt
10 PS4 Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon Everybody! 5 pt
11 PS4 Atelier Lulua ~ The Scion of Arland ~ (Normal Edition) 4 pt
12 PS4 Resident Evil 6 4 pt
13 NSw Pokemon Let's Go! Eevee 4 pt
14 Vita VARIABLE BARRICADE (Normal Edition) 3 pt
15 PS4 Winning Post 9 3 pt
16 PS4 Super Robot Wars T (Normal Edition) 3 pt
17 PS4 ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER 3 pt
18 PS4 Call of Cthulhu 3 pt
19 NSw Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu 3 pt
20 NSw Splatoon 2 3 pt

I apologize if some stuff is mistranslated, did my best to correct, figured it was worth posting the whole weekly chart.

Edit: Ugh, fuck this table formatting tool. Sorry it's so ugly.

Am I the only one that is convinced Yokai 4 won't hit the West until Q1 2020 ?

If it has mediocre sales in Japan, will they even bother releasing it in the West at all?

They've release everything in the west except Busters 2 so far I believe, they'll definitely release 4 since it's on the Switch.

Yea, I would find it hard to believe that Namco Bandai would not want to release YW4 outside of Japan.

Not sure if we can make much conclusions considering how COMG operates nowadays, but it will be interesting to see if YW4 can overcome the fatigue factor that plagued the recent games of the franchise.

I am also surprised of SAO..I wonder how the franchise is doing overall in Japan (not just the games).

Yes they will, Yokai Watch gained popularity in Europe and the anime seems to be fairly popular aswell, there is no reason to keep it exclusive to Japan if it bobms given it's the chapter with the highest costs of development. Plus the change in gameplay seems to appeal to many western players

Days gone is killing it.
Will definately get 70 or higher , which is amazing for a sony 1st party game that is made primarily for the western audience.
