Unbelievable one sided in both ways:

As you mentioned top 20 sales only games for Nintendo consoles.

Pre orders have listed just games for Sony consoles. 

Did anything that akward ever occure?

I think the difference is that there are many PS4 and Vita games on the market just like Switch and 3DS (probably more) but Switch and 3DS have barely announced games this year.

How's the fan reception for Xenoblade 2 in Japan ? the sales are better than the previous titles but I wonder how people feel there about the change in artstyle and the story of the game

Holy shit, XC 2 is holding extremely well, far better than anyone would have guessed.If Rakuten and COMG is to be believed.Assuming it does between 8k and 12k, it will be around 150k and just 10k shy of outselling the best selling Xenoblade in Japan,X, as far as physical is concerned.

I think its safe enough to say how important a healthy console is to the sale of a game, especially for more niche franchises.All signs seems to point that, even when sales die down in january, XC 2 will still be selling a respectable 2 or 3k units every week, simply because the Switch is still in high demand and people who might be interested in the game might not have gotten the system yet.It is a far cry from the Wii U, and also thanks to the high quality of the game, Xenoblade Chronicles seems to be getting the recognition it deserves.
