I don't know about the other stores, but on Amazon Splatoon has a staggering 7 Versions (+4 different Switch bundles). Like I said over a month ago, this disparity may cost it the first spot on Amazon Japan

Also, the 500Y off for a digital download of Splatoon when you bought Arms certainly will hurt the preorders

He's making a point on the digital discount but the multiple versions argument is poor.

Only two versions chart on Amazon top 100 with one of them ranking between 30-40. Vs 4 versions for DQXI charting. They're pretty much a non factor for extrapolating.

DQ also has a special edition unavailable on Amazon that contains both the 3DS and PS4 versions in one box! Neat.

Now, yes, the multiple versions don't have too much effect anymore. One good month ago, when I first wrote about it? They where all charting in the top 100, and the bundles too. It certainly made Splatoon loose the top spot back then earlier than it should have.

Well, there are multiple for DQXI as well. Two consoles bundles, the two main retail versions, and a special edition that contains both games.
