Good point.  It is completely different to what the japanese wanted and what they used to get.  

Yeah this new western RPG FF is off to a great start.  Western games in general showing super growth on Playstation in Japan.  Long may it last. 

Another big decline? Or/and its just the 3DS becoming "old" / "tiring" now?

I don't agree that you should treat it like a new IP, but I would expect lower sales for a 1st person horror than 3rd person. It's easy to see which horror titles have done well on console and they've all been 3rd person.

A decline isn't even dissapointing for XX because it's an extra version after X.  Not reasonable to expect X sales until the next one which will likely be MH5.
