Nintemdo must be making a killing off the CCP.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

aside from 14 different 3ds in the top 100 on amazon, there are 4-5 CPP in the top 100 as well!

If each Pokemon version ends at around 1,000, that would be more than fine.

wow monster hunter! O_O

as been reported, there's still short supply in Japan... http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=82878997&postcount=653 3DS sales remain very strong.

it's amazing how capcom planned to sell only 2,8 million copies of MH4 till march 31, 2014. I think game will top 4M+ with holidays coming.

i think the 2.8m was them predicting as low as possible so when sales come up much better it will look like an even bigger success. Also the limited stock issues arent as bad as Capcom first expected. remember when it was going to have its 1st shipment at something like 600k (iirc).

Nice chart boutros!... Would be possible to add FFXIII chart numbers?

Thanks! Maybe I will add FFXIII closer to release but honestly the comparison won't be very interesting considering how huge the drop is.

That's the part of stats that we like, rigth? to see how bad or good the numbers change XD

hey I know this is kinda obvious, but is the "Total" the number of pre-orders in the thousands? I am new this japan preorder chart :P. If it is, then how come MH4 was over 3 mil, but only sold 1.7 mil in the first week? Again I am not very familiar with these charts, thanks.

Each point = 1 sale. This is a small store in japan that i believe has 8-10 stores (an area's gamestop for Ex). Lots of people get confuse and think 1point=1k of sales but it seems like that cuz usally games here are a 1point =1k in sales. Ex: a game gets 50points, seems like it'll be around 50k, but sometimes it could go anywhere from 30k to 100k. like Soul Sacrifice i think finished here with 60points but got way over 100k FW. This is practically an idea of demand

Welcome!

1 point = 1 pre-order in a COMG! store. That pre-order can come from any of the numerous COMG! stores.

In general, we can extrapolate 1 point = 1k pre-orders in the whole of Japan. Do note that this is a very rough equivalence as several trends and factors (such as the platform, the franchise , the publisher, the time of year, etc.) can influence the numbers. Experience as shown that COMG! stores tend to be often skewed towards Sony titles. That means Sony games usually end up with >1 point = 1k pre-orders. On the other hand, Nintendo titles are rather <1 point = 1k pre-orders.

Also, highly front-loaded games can sometimes reach 2/3 points = 1k pre-order whereas more obscure titles can be 1 point = 2k/3k pre-orders.

The best way to understand COMG! is by following it on a daily basis or asking questions to the people in this thread.

Cool thanks guys. Will try to follow this list more often. Very interested on happens in Japan this holiday season.

Im really not worried about pokemon, you should all remember that is the franchise first global release instead of japan only for six months so of course the stock will be a problem that I expect will last all 2013
