Isn't it just people upgrading? DQ X version 3 has a ceiling of about 210k for the wii u version, Xenoblade doesn't. DQ will also be very front loaded, if version 2 is any indicator.

Why is XCX so inconsistent? At least both versions of DQX are heating up.

Well Xenoblade wasn't as big in Japan as in the west last time either. It is still ahead of the original Xenoblade, so I think it may still beat it. It is competing directing with DQ though, given their launch dates and DQ is the more established franchise. Perhaps the pace will pick up Friday after more features are detailed.

I think it will be bigger than the original in Japan, thankfully. I really hope the new direct lights a fire underneath it though (I'm thinking it will, considering the previous ones made it shoot up the ranks on Amazon.jp).
