Okay. So your argument is popularity in Japan = popularity in the west. If that's the case, why doesn't Monster Hunter sell 4.5m in the west (because that's what it sells in Japan. And it's really easy - 1.5m in USA; 1.5m in Europe; 1.5m in rest of the world).
Look for similar games. Soul Sacrifice did 220k on Vita in the west, if we trust VGC numbers. Freedom Wars did 180k. It's just not going to pull the numbers you think it will, because Vita is a struggling console and the genre is niche over here.
