Thanks.

And for your other question, from my little knowledge of the game, the thing is that it depends heavily on their fanbase, being a local multiplayer game. I'd guess it's better for them to push just one fanbase.

Still, I think that the main problem here is that people assume that the only reason for the poor sales of  PSV is the lack of MH.

I'm getting that feeling as well.

Can't wait for today's chart. It's going to be so interesting.

I agree.

I think the thing is, people see Monster Hunter as the PSP's saving grace - and it was, to an extent.  No other game sold over 1m in Japan, let alone multi-millions, and nothing pushed userbase like it did.

But MonHun was just the strongest part of PSP's arsenal.  The console also had a load of Square Enix support + traditional PlayStation franchises appearing on it like Metal Gear Solid; Yakuza etc.  Or ones which did return to Vita but had greatly diminished in handheld popularity between the generations (Dynasty Warriors; Gundam; Tales).

It's that diversity of stronger IP's that Vita is lacking, and I think it's that more than anything that's dragging the console down.  It caters well to fans of action RPG's/hunting games; and to otakus, but very little else.

I think it would have made more sense for 4G to be Vita exclusive than for any MH to be multiplatform. Or, better yet, for Capcom to make some kind of "in-between" game the way Portable 3rd was to Tri. The series has never been multiplatform and I don't expect it to start now.

I would imagine that advertising is really starting to amp up.
