Now FY2012 PS2 was grouped with PS3 but PS2 software is pretty insignificant, PS2 software was just 7.9M for entire FY2011

Wow, I thaought it already had passed the Wii. PS360 both should be nearing 10 in attach rate while Wii I thought would have less than 7.

Could happen sooner than we think. The gap is about 180 million, but PS3 is going to maintain decent software sales and will have support along with the 360 for at least a couple years. So maybe the PS3 will do it by 2015 or 2016 at the latest. I'm not sure how fast sofware sales will decline when 8th gen consoles roll around.

The 360 only has 86 million to go. I think 360 can accomplish this by early 2014. With games like CoD Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed 4, Watch Dogs, Batman: AO, GTAV, Saint's Row 4, Madden 25, and great legs of other 360 titles, that gap is going to be history.

Well maybe it could happen by late 2014 or early 2015. Like I said, gonna happen sooner than people might think.

Wii sales dropped like a rock and HD platforms are closing those gaps quickly.

Nintendo forecasts 20M software for FY2013, PS3 did 150M in FY12, software sales will stay stagnant or even slightly rise with the release of Last of Us, GTA5, Beyond etc.

So by april 2014 they could tie.
