Good point, you're right. Nintendo waited over 20 years before making a true successor to Super Mario World, and when they did, the game was fresh and original, with great level design and new gameplay elements.

EA, on the other hand--

Frostbite stopped working on Wii U as soon as the Origin online deal fell through. It's sad for Nintendo gamers how EA is acting, but it's what they've done since the Genesis/SNES days. They have a corporate ideal that Nintendo is their main rival for becoming the world's largest gaming software company, and the best way to hinder Nintendo's software is to not support their hardware. It's a terrible strategy for EA since it means they miss out on easy sales from ports, but it doesn't seem like it's going to change. In fact, it's only getting worse since the Origin debacle.

We are already seeing their debacle, 1000 lay offs is something to be very worried about. Lets see how they do in the future.

stock at close to multiyear highs, just secured a multiyear deal for a very lucrative franchasie?

The deal with Disney and Star Wars will not change anything if their management continues like this. Their CEO just had an insane increase in salary, games not reaching expectation. Making games for the Star Wars franchise will not change any of this things, they just have one more game to be worry about.

Their CEO resigned and they are currently looking for a new one, so I dont know where you are getting the first line from.  And if you want to buy a star wars game in the future (on console anyway) you are going to have to go thru EA so I dont understand your reasoning for the second set of lines.

Sorry got confused with Activision CEO.

As for the second line, EA already has a few games that has been failures with too much high expectations, Kingdoms of Amalur and Dead Space 3 are the ones that come to mind atm.

If you think that by just having Star Wars on the name will change anything then think again, because that din't help Star Wars: the old Republic. The game was consider a failure because the game had a dev cost of $200 million, who knows if they even come close to recovering that money. Bad management will lead to failures, doesn't the matter the name of the game.

So FB3 works on PS360 but not on Wii U which can produce better graphics and have newer/modern specifications? The logic, it's nowhere.

Well only it doesn´t. Frostbite 2 barely runs on those consoles.

Ps3 and Xbox360 getting Battlefield 4 (Frostbite 3) while it barely runs Frostbite 2? I still don't see it (the logic). EA isn't even trying with this one. They're a horrible pretentious company.

Crytek and Epic have also claimed that their new Engines don´t support the WiiU and Cryengine 3 "runs" on PS360 as well I mean it is barely playable but it runs.

Next time bring some sources please, because you made that up about CryEngine 3 ( http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/06/20/crytek-cryengine-3-beautiful-on-wii-u ). UE4 is a scalable engine so that even phones can run them. Like I already said; EA isn't even trying to get us believe them a LITTLE bit. They don't deserve respect in any form until they simply convince not wanting to develop for Wii U because of the missing audience who prefers original games over the same generic shooter over and over again. Blaming the Wii U power as an excuse is just disgusting.

Thats kinda a dumb comparison, I admit they have milked 2D Mario by releasing 3DS and Wii U versions ao closely but the first NSMB was the first 2D Mario in 15 years and the Wii version the first console 2D Mario in 18 years. On the other hand we've had I beleive 9 CODs in as many years.

First of all EA doesn't even make that trash called Call of Duty and second of all that's a good comparison

and most importantly, did a child create this thread......"Stupids" really? Come on

With GBA I think they only recycled the old Mario Bros. games.

I like a lot of games EA publishes. They have some great developers and it is great to support platforms they make games for.
