Thats kinda a dumb comparison, I admit they have milked 2D Mario by releasing 3DS and Wii U versions ao closely but the first NSMB was the first 2D Mario in 15 years and the Wii version the first console 2D Mario in 18 years. On the other hand we've had I beleive 9 CODs in as many years.

nah whats dumb is bringing up CoD when it was never mentioned in the first place

and hang on there weren't 2d mario games released between the one for wii and super mario world?

With GBA I think they only recycled the old Mario Bros. games.
