Looks like a solid game, much further along than I expected. The visuals went up a notch in the lava scene. If Nintendo was smart they would publish it and make it exclusive forever, and call it ED2 so it would sell more.

the more I see on this game the more excited I get for it. My only major problem with it is the crowd funding. Maybe it's because i'm a bit ignorant on the topic but it comes off to me as "hey, pay us money to make this game so you can pay us money to buy this game." If i'm going to invest in something, i'm going to want a return on that money.

It's more like, "Buy this game now and we promise to make it for you." Sort of a pre-pre-order.
I want to believe in this game, but Dyack is such a terrible manager I don't trust him to pull it off. Niether does any publisher on the planet, it seems.

that would explain why Nintendo isn't publishing this. Which Is a real shame since I have a feeling (but no knowledge) that might mean precursor games won't be able to use the roivas family in reference. Which would be awesome. I was afraid for a second that this was just going to be a remake in disguise when I saw the level, but when the world changed to fire I was reinvigorated :)
agreed. I do get sketchy about episodic games. I don't buy them until they are complete, and I also won't buy them if they give me the same amount of content as a retail game but for more money. If this was SLIGHTLY overpriced I might make an exception.
They just updated their FAQ.
Seems like they will pay back donations if the project doesn't fall through.
The demo looks really cool. Though i doubt they'll reach their kickstarter goal to finish the game unless they get more exposure

well you can buy the whole thing for 50$ which is actually underpriced. the first had the feel of an episodic game anyways so I can see it working.
The walking animation and voice acting were pretty meh but the graphics (especially outside) were surprisingly good.
