If you're suggesting what I think you are, I think someone needs to read up a bit about Plus

The poster I responded to was talking about the game deals you get with gold. Evey week there is arcade titles and other games reduced to 50 percent or more just for people who have Gold. That poster was comparing those deals to the "free" games you get with PS Plus. Since MS doesn't offer games like that you can really only use those Gold discounts as a comparison. Now correct me if I am wrong, but if I stop paying for gold those games I bought at half off or more can still be played on my Xbox. However if I stop paying for PS Plus I can not play those "free" games that I downloaded.

Yes but you see, the beauty of PS Plus is get you "free" games AND discounts. If you buy a game at a discounted price with PS Plus, you still get to play it even if your subscription ends.
