Its a great move. Theyre going for the markets that made the 360 so popular.

All they need to do is expand with Kinect and its a 100% success with Nextbox.

Can you share the name of the woman in your avatar please? :)

It is Misa Campo

thx

Oh boy, look more PS3/PS4 talk in the Microsoft forum.

Anyways, the reveal is going to be awesome. I buy COD every year because my friends do, but this looks like the first time since MW2 that I'm really hyped.

It's just that simple.

So, MS is once again setting another console up as the shooter box?
Exclusive shooter from ex-infinity ward devs, a multiplatform reveal at their own console announcement, likely another halo being announced at the same time.

Sony needs to get their act together and fight for the fps games. To think, you can win a market with just a single genre.

FPS is also Sony's biggest market by a significant margin.

I'm not sure if this is a rebuttal or not. Is it? FPS being Sony's biggest market doesn't really have anything to do with what I said.

Sony is the biggest market Sony is trying to crack with their first party not third party. They want Halo numbers for themselves. They are good at everything else but they are resilient never the less.

I will be watching. Microsoft should have made the time of their reveal better. I know you don't have to watch it live...but it just always feels better seeing everything happen in real time, not sure why.

Also I find it funny how they are already taking pre-orders. Haven't shown us anything about the game and already asking us to give them our money. At least Battlefield had some gameplay footage =/.

Sony's 1st party showings completely overshadowed the 3rd parties.

He asked for 3rd party stuff, I gave him the 3rd party stuff.

Diablo 3 has outsold every Killzone game combined. Diablo 3 has outsold every inFamous game combined. Diablo 3 has outsold every LittleBigPlanet game combined. Diablo 3 has outsold every MotorStorm game combined.

Diablo 3 overshadows everything Sony have released on PS3. From Gran Turismo 5 to PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale.

When did this turn into a sales talk?

I do admit I misintrepeted your comment though. I apologize. Do you really think Diablo 3 will sell well on consoles? It's not even on the pre-order charts here on VgCharts. I just remembered Diablo 1 came out on PS1. Too bad we don't have sales figures for it :/

Are we supposed to pretend those don't exist? Forum sections are purely to keep threads organized, not to keep anyone out.

Maybe you should cut the attitude out.  what I'm saying is they have tried, and having 6 exclusive FPS titles this generation shows they have tried.  And we already know another Killzone is coming ot the PS4.  Are you saying they aren't trying?  Are you saying they aren't successful? Where are you going with this? Maybe you should tell me because you really haven't said much of anything with any kind of information and now you are just being sarcastic.

I'd like to see Guerilla Games do a new IP. Killzone clearly isn't ever going mainstream.

Because it's such a strong argument.

Prof: Sony doesn't try hard enough to secure FPS equality or dominance.
Jay: Sony's biggest market is FPS
Prof: Thanks to third party multiplats that Sony doesn't actually have to do anything to get. Sony needs to work harder at getting an edge.
Jay: This is a mistake people make. Sony put out at least three FPS games, better yet, at least one of those devs wasn't shuttered due to their games flopping.
Prof: You sure told me. If Sony at least tries as hard as they did this past gen, they'll be fine competing with MS for FPS market share.

Let's start over then.

Don't know what it's saying?

xbox gets many huge exclusive fps games and content
playstation dooes not and and Sony does not care enough
That's a mistake

rebuttal?

Oh, and this time without the snarky mockery. Like you were informing me of anything when you said "FPS is Sony's biggest market". I must be a friggin idiot, right?

They are doing a new IP.
