Wow.. NextBox gets an exclusive game - who would have guesed that....

And the makers say it's the coolest game ever - now noone saw that coming...

Seriously people, what is wrong with all those content-free threads that are popping up (or more precisely, are copied from other websites the minute they go up there)?

At best this will be a timed exclusive.

EA will not be exclusive to any console.

This is probably the deal they cut with MS when they bought BioWare. Remember, MS published Mass Effect 1 and it was rumored they had ME 2 and 3 publishing as well. EA wanted out of the publishing agreement for obvious reasons, so MS priced it with timed exclusivity for a next generation game.

Just makes sense.

Is this why EA weren't at the PS4 reveal?

I think the most interesting part is that it is a shooter. Who would have guessed?

How is this a big deal?

Here we go again with the smoke and mirrors game of timed exclusives.

Interesting, if true. I can't think of a reason why they'd make a big title an exclusive, not if they think it would have strong sales. Even Microsoft couldn't make up for the hundreds of millions of dollars they'd be losing out on with a true exclusive, especially if sequels are planned. That's a massive amount of money. Seems like a really odd, short-sighted move.

Perhaps they don't have a lot of confidence in the game on it's own in a crowded shooter market? And Microsoft is pledging large-scale marketing support and a golden parachute in case the game fails to meet expectations? That's all I can really think of to explain something like this.

From a personal standpoint, I don't like exo-suits or mecha in my FPS games and multi-player only games aren't my cup of tea.

A shooter...wow. Way to disprove the naysayers MS.

Source Engine? That's cool I guess.
Source is pretty good for shooters.
