Forums - Nintendo - Kamiya: "if you hate short games, don´t play TW101, focus on fun"

A game that is a satirical portrayal of common third party practices sounds pretty awesome. I guess it would be called something along the lines of "Let's make a Wii game". During the work phase you will have to think of ways to figuratively rape people and during your spare time phase you will get some dead animals action, literally. Could be an industry defining mature experience.

Even if it is one hour long and several content such as twelve dead species locked for microtransactions?

You said the game was published by Nintendo, not EA.

... *sarcasm*

Okay, okay. Can't argue against both of you =P *Runs away*

As long as it's Nintendo-published, I'll buy it.

What if Nintendo publishes a game about raping people and dead animals? Would you buy it too? ò.O

There is no more epic tale than Pokemon, how *DARE* you.  :P

Okay, I agree. "Hey You, Pikachu!" was quite the awesome epic game.

Well the game isn't 1 hour long. I've read, in this thread, that it'll be around 15 hours. Which is not short.

The 15 hours isn't sarcasm?

Edit - fix the sacarms... lol

Indeed. The 15 hours comment is saclegs.

lol sorry I will fix that... good joke BTW.

eh just a question.
Isn't the "15 hours" campaign just a made up fact by KHlover ? (I'm not accusing you for spreading false information, you probably just took a random number to make a point.)

Because it seems like many people are already believing it.

Except Bayonetta, all other Platinum games are short. Really short.
I finished Vanquish in 4h30min, but had a great time. Thanks to achievements I got another hour or so out of it (didn't 1000G it btw.).
I'd expect TW101 to be about 5 hours long.

How long does it take to get all the trophies/achievements? Oh wait...

Are these off topic jabs necessary ?

Necessary, no. But some people have the urge to use every opportunity to troll Sony and Microsoft. In this specific case, what could be worse than a short game that focuses on fun? A short game with ultracheap padding.

I agree with you, I honestly prefer shorter games that entertain me throughout the whole time (even if they are only 6-8 hours long) than play a game thats just long for the sake of it (many, many JRPGs like Tales of the Abyss).

That's why I said "in this thread" as I wasn't totally sure KHLover was a trustworthy person.

Some of the greatest games of all time can be completed in one sitdown.

As long as the game is fun enough for you to want to play through it multiple times, there should be no problem with it being "short".

I can play Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros. over and over and over again.

Same with Mario Kart and Pokemon. These games aren't some epic tale, they are just pure fun. Something I wish more developers would get back into.

Mario Kart and Pokemon have near unlimited replay value, especially on a generational level. Developers are working on games like that, even Sony has acknowledged the greatness of Mario kart by investing in Mod Nation and Little Big Planet racing which are fun in their own right.
