Hmm, it is hard to say. I try to rate the different arguments:
The Control Pad as a standard controller (10/10). Since this controller is a standard it will add touch screen and motion control to almost every single game. I just don't like seeing a game I would like to buy and then have to think about how much it will be broken with useless "innovative controls" that I simply do not need. A standard controller like the Dualshock etc. will always be perfect for me and it can't really be improved... The Vita suffers from the same problem with its touchscreens. Try playing through AC3 Liberation without getting angry because of the broken motion/touch controls. All in all, this is the dealbreaker for me. Nintendo lost it with its controllers since the DS and the stylus, the Wiimote and now with the pad.
Two Screens (4/10): I just don't need a second screen because I can only look at one screen at the same time. It may have benefits for other players but for me its a gimmick with little use and all games have to use the screen in some way (if the developers want it or not).
A proper Account system that you can use for all Nintendo consoles and handhelds and a Trophy System that keeps you interested in the game. (4/10)
Nintendo just doesn't make the games that I like anymore. Super Mario World and Zelda - A link to the Past were among the best games of its generation and I played through them many times. But with the jump to 3D these franchises have lost its magic for me. And as I grew older I started to expect some storytelling alongside the gameplay to keep me entertained and Nintendo is not building its games around storytelling. I must admit that I have more fun with a medium JRPG that scored around 70% as with a Mario or Zelda game nowadays. I am aware, that the Mario Universe is not suited for mature and serious storytelling. But after more than twenty years of always the same old story I am very saturated. Maybe that is just my personal franchise fatigue... but as I have played through New Super Mario Bros Wii I started to think that I should rather play Super Mario World instead. It offers almost the same gameplay and Story, but was the better game for me. (6/10)
So, all in all, for me Nintendo need to stop that hardware and controller innovations and should start with software innovation. Instead of playing the same old games with new control schemes that ultimately do worse than the standard controller they should try to improve their franchises and make innovative games instead.
