Per Emily Rogers.

"Nintendo looking at possibly to bring back gifting, do a feature where some of your Wii U VC games can be playable on 3DS, and vice versa."

 

I'm definitely interested. It was a great feature that made Secret Santa possible, and it was a stupid idea to remove it. I don't understand why the other consoles never implemented it...

So we can all give Ninpie presents considering he can't purchase anything online himself.

And makes for good sense of community if we buy games for each other and such.

I wanted to gift D21 an eshop game awhile back but then realized there wasn't an option on 3DS. I also did Wii-Wii U data transfer before last Christmas and then realized I couldn't gift through Wii shop channel on Wii U.
