Whatever. The "i was a big Nintendofan but now..." from diehard Sonyfanboys is getting really old by now.

The only problem here is, that my consol history is N64- GC- Wii- Ps3. And had the Wii not had motion controls i wouldn't even have thought of switching.

I was never a big nintendo fan (and never said i was i just stated which consoles i owned) nor am i a diehard sonyfanboy now... i go whereever i want to.
but keep on calling people fanboys and i'm sure you'll get a ban eventually. Also i don't know what i said that could have been so bad to make you lash out. If i remember corectly i said it's a problem the whole industry has not only Nintendo.

I´m just pointing out your inconsequential assertion that maybe you have grown out "Nintendo games" but obviously have no problem becoming a marketing tool (see avatar) for a game like Tearaway which is based on a very childish origami style. Oh and of course it´s just a coincidence that it is a Sony published game lol. The only reason I responded is to point out your bias and obvious double standard, no hard feelings dude ;).

Please don't turn this thread into a childish fanboy fight. Having an avatar of a game does make you a "marketing tool" just because it's a Sony game, this kind of nonsense is not appreciated here. Huiii also never said to have "outgrown" Nintendo, just that most of their games have gotten stale for him, as have most other games in general. Never did he once attributed this to a childish artstyle, it is you who is filling that in for him. Stop with this or I will have you removed from the thread.

Sort of a naive question. Of course Nintendo can always suprise us.
Kid Icarus was a surprise. Supporting and Publishing Baoynetta 2 was a surprise. Supporting and Publishing Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem was a surprise. The GamePad was a surprise.

The thing is... most people who heavily critize Nintendo never actually tried their games or products. The Gamepad is a fine example. While it´s not, in any way, revolutionary, games like ZombiU and NintendoLand showed that it really can give gamers some different and creative experiences, but people prefer the old gimmick talk instead of actually trying it.

By the way, pratically every big developer today are basing their launches of the same and same franchises, Fifa, PES, Call of Duty, Halo, Assassin´s Creed, Tekken, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy. Here comes another CoD, another GTA, another Battlefield......so there´s no point about arguing that Nintendo only uses the same franchises. Every company do that.

I actually agree with you, but for me, Nintendo was about making games that wowed you. They haven't done that so much lately. Sure, other developers fail to do so as well but that's nothing new. I only criticize Nintendo because I love them. And while publishing Bayonetta 2 sure was a surprise, it doesn't affect me as it's not a big thing at all. I want to be wowed again like I got wowed playing Ocarina of Time or Super Mario Galaxy.

I seriously recommend you to buy Kid Icarus: Uprising

Just a reminder that Xenoblade and X are both Nintendo games...

so is Pushmo/Crashmo (two of the best puzzle games in years)

Actually it´s a very stupid question only a badly informed gamer can make to be honest with you. Just to name a few surprising announcements in the last two years. Obviously the deal for the Monster Hunter series on 3DS and later WiiU. Then Nintendo working with Platinum games on 2 games W101 and Bayonetta (an announcement that literary got some literary insane "they are stealing OUR games).

Early this year the announcement for Shin MegamiXFire Emblem was really out of nowhere the same goes for Monolithsofts X. To get to the last Ndirect the LttP sequel in sytle of the classic was surprising even to fans for two reasons, no one expected the announcement this early and most expected a more 3D gameplay Zelda instead of a classic one. Also the localisation of Bravely Default comes to mind when talking about surprising announcement.

Yup stating the growing out of part as a reason for lbeing less excited for nintendo games then i used to be was probably wrong and i already said that in a previous post. It was mindless repeating of words, other people spelled out for me and you proved it wrong.

I've got no problem with that. I think its actually a good thing for making me realize how the masses can manipulate you.

I'm excited for tearaway because when i look at it i don't feel like "i've seen this bevore" it being published by sony is more or less a coincidence. There is plenty of Sony games that i dont give a damn about. I'd be more than happy if they decidet to drop Killzone, GoW, Uncharted and every other game that has a gun in it and made games that i actually want to play.

Nintendo cannot win, because they do not allow themselves to. The company is run by a bunch of old men who have stagnated from being true creative types at the peak of their creative abilities in core character and game development in the 80 and early 90's. Its almost as if Miyamoto does nothing they are stuck in a rut. They need to build up some new minds and create fresh new games. Miyamoto said it himself, he cannot see himself making a game he cannot play on the couch with his family. Thats just the type of company they are. Once they free themselves from the shackles of nostalgia to Miyamotos hey-day, they will be free to go after other age groups as well as children and their respective families. Until then, enjoy the nostalgia show. All you can expect them to change is the way you play the same games. In this day and age the expectations are much higher. As I said in another post, if I was a child I would love them because thats how I fell in love with them, but as I grew older (just like with disney) I moved on. I can still come back but Nintendo isn't making strides to gain gamers like myself.

To the last sentence - I hope they never do. I still love Disney and Nintendo and some things are pure and don't need to be corrupted. Go to Sony and Xbox for your needs but leave Nintendo out of it.

LOL....Yes....so much for your thoughts because Disney bought Lucas Arts and Marvel. They are reaching out to people like myself. So much for your theory. I'll say it again...it doesn't matter what even you think of Nintendo they wont change unless their public credibility forces them to. It seems they listened to frustrations about third party core titles, but the problem is the third party titles they acquired are current gen.You might like what they do but ultimately it doesnt matter because they still did what they wanted to do. They do what they do and hope you'll accept it, plain and simple.

You got it wrong, my friend... Disney didn´t buy LucasArts and Marvel because they want to reach "mature" audiences like you. They bought them because they´re lucrative brands that will guarantee them big money. The Disney brand itself will continue to be family-friendly. It´s all about money and nothing less, nothing more

Games like those wowed us because they either changed gameplay paradigms or introduced new ones. We can name very  few games that did so: Super Mario Bros, Street Fighter 2, SimCity, Goldeneye (N64), Super Mario 64, Wii Sports, Metal Gear Solid etc..

That said, I have bad news for you: it´s very, very unlikely, in a near future, that any developer will be able to bring us this kind of perception again. Even with motion controls and touch screens, what we have today (and what we will have with next-gen) is not much different from what we´ve already known or experienced.
