Nintendo cannot win, because they do not allow themselves to. The company is run by a bunch of old men who have stagnated from being true creative types at the peak of their creative abilities in core character and game development in the 80 and early 90's. Its almost as if Miyamoto does nothing they are stuck in a rut. They need to build up some new minds and create fresh new games. Miyamoto said it himself, he cannot see himself making a game he cannot play on the couch with his family. Thats just the type of company they are. Once they free themselves from the shackles of nostalgia to Miyamotos hey-day, they will be free to go after other age groups as well as children and their respective families. Until then, enjoy the nostalgia show. All you can expect them to change is the way you play the same games. In this day and age the expectations are much higher. As I said in another post, if I was a child I would love them because thats how I fell in love with them, but as I grew older (just like with disney) I moved on. I can still come back but Nintendo isn't making strides to gain gamers like myself.

To the last sentence - I hope they never do. I still love Disney and Nintendo and some things are pure and don't need to be corrupted. Go to Sony and Xbox for your needs but leave Nintendo out of it.

LOL....Yes....so much for your thoughts because Disney bought Lucas Arts and Marvel. They are reaching out to people like myself. So much for your theory. I'll say it again...it doesn't matter what even you think of Nintendo they wont change unless their public credibility forces them to. It seems they listened to frustrations about third party core titles, but the problem is the third party titles they acquired are current gen.You might like what they do but ultimately it doesnt matter because they still did what they wanted to do. They do what they do and hope you'll accept it, plain and simple.

You got it wrong, my friend... Disney didn´t buy LucasArts and Marvel because they want to reach "mature" audiences like you. They bought them because they´re lucrative brands that will guarantee them big money. The Disney brand itself will continue to be family-friendly. It´s all about money and nothing less, nothing more
