Forums - Nintendo - What does Nintendo have planned for E3 this year?!

I would love for Retro's game to be something amazing and western styled - as in impressive production, online, mature themed, lots of action. It could be an all-new ip, or it could be a totally re-imagined Metroid. Not Prime 4. It was in that big rumor a while back that it could be a 2 player co-op where one player is Samus and another is an alien, that there was a world split in two, with time travel and so on. That sounds pretty awesome to me. Imagine a game like that was shown, with Killzone 4 level visuals. Re-style Samus's armor into something a bit cooler, have great online deathmatch, maybe don't even call it metroid, just have it in the same universe. Each player plays different, maybe Samus using the remote/nunchuck while the alien partner plays dual-analog on the gamepad screen. That would blow my mind if done well.

Yeah, I wouldn't get my hopes up for a Metroid game... I'm pretty sure it'll be a new IP, or a new Star Fox games; but they really deserves the chance to create something new on their own, and not be handed one of Nintendo's old franchises...

Oh, I would love a new IP!  Starfox would be a bit of a let down for me, I was never a huge fan.

Nothing new. I expect it to be like last year were Nintendo announced all the good stuff in a Nintendo Direct.

That would really suck... Why they even did that last year?? E3 sucked last year, only good one was Ubisoft. Sony was pretty decent as well, but far from stellar.

I don't know. Nintendo would have won E3 if they had shown all that but I'm guessing it was because they were not ready to show it off.

Nintendo really should have won that e3; it was theirs to lose. A new console should mean lots of games, and then we had the 3DS as well... Man they really dropped the ball :P

Another reason why I think they withheld some of their 1st party games was because they wanted to give 3rd partied the spotlight for E3.

that would have been a great idea! If, you know, they had 3rd party support ^^

Anyways, I hope they show of Watch Dogs and Destiny, and perhaps AssCreed4 this year - oh! And Batman Origin!

I've never played a Star Fox game actually, but I think there's great potential in that franchise, but yeah - a new IP would be the best; a chance for them to really show what they're made of!

They did not have much but they were showing some of it off. Overall it was a bad idea to do so and they should have said "fuck it" and showed their 1st party games.

I don't expect many surprises. Mainly official reveals for games that have oly had verbal announcements, new 3d mario, smash bros, mario kart.

Retro's title is the only unannounced game I'm expecting.
Of course they'll their casual games designed to turn the WIi U pad into Wii style success, don't think any of them will be a big deal though

I think a western RPG would be awesome from them, could soften the blow of not having elder scrolls, fallout, and mass effect

I think showing off 3rd party is a good thing, if it isn't ONLY old ports, and if they actually can keep that support...
