The accounts used to communicate this rumor are disposable. I wonder why?

Increase the costs? Microsoft already sells the full 360 per $99... so I think the CPU and GPI together costs less than $50 for sure... a SoC will make even more cheaper this unit... maybe $20 to the Durango's final cost.

So was the PS2 when the PS3 released, but it was one of the first things they removed to cut down costs.

I think Sony just lied to us... the real reason to remove the PS2 BC is because Sony wanted to sell PS2 games in the future (PSN versions and HD Collections)... not the cost itself.
The PS3 problem was the Blu-ray ($300) and Cell ($100)... all the others components were cheaper at launch.

Calm down. This is a forum. If you can't handle criticism of rumors about your favorite company maybe you shouldn't be here. |
lol MSFT my favorite company XD haha Don't make me laugh. If i had a favorite company it would be a developer rather than one of the big 3. Also I prefer copmpanies outside of gaming ;)
I think you need to calm yourself. You dont like MSFT and you have made that obvious and you are always in attack mode. Maybe you should just stay away from MSFT threads since you clearly dont like them.

I posted my opinion on these rumors, you told me to stay out of Microsoft thrads. If anyone is in attack mode here, its you.
Don't like me? Don't reply to me. Don't like my comments? Skip over them
I'm done here.

My problem is with your post history in general. Your comments are flaming and attacking in every statement. You like sony and you hate MSFT. We get that. So stop commenting in MSFT threads and go worship Sony as you already do. It would keep out some pointless comments in threads.
Of course you are done here. You have already put in your 2 cents and leave as you usually do.
How about this. Why are you constantly attacking MSFT if you have no interest in them? Can you answer that honestly?

The better the 360 rumour - the more Sony fans in the thread downplaying it!
That said - I'm personally excited about the return of AA batteries. Easy to replace/recharge, so I always have a set ready. Inexpensive and easily replaced in about 20 seconds. I'd hate the idea of a non removable battery that dies after a year or two, or having to play with a cable plugged in while I wait for it to charge. I can't see why "non proprietary" is evil in some cases and amazing in others. Must be the fanboiz.
| theprof00 said: Also batteriez???!? Ms gunna nickel and dime once again? |
I wasn't aware that MS sold batteries.
That said - there are these thins available called rechargeable batteries. They're cheap - cost about $6 for 4 - and non proprietary - so you can use them across a wide range of devices - so you should usually always have a few charged sitting around!
And if batteries are the worst thing people can troll - MS is on to a winner.

VGKing said: "Ok, moving on. Have you read the VGLeaks article about the Durango specs? Yes? Good because everything you read in that article was 100% correct. Except, for one tiny little detail that MS kept guarded from most devs until very recently. That detail being that every Durango ships with a Xbox 360 SOC." |
First I'm going to say that I'm treating this rumor the same as all rumors and therefore I will wait for MS to make an anouncement before I believe anything. But I'm going to comment on your statements as if the rumor is true.
A. One rumor says the Xbox Mini will plug in and this one says it will be built in. Take one rumor or the other, but don't combine them and say that they contradict. This rumor says that the Xbox Mini will compete with the Apple TV and the Durango will have the Xbox SOC for backwards compatability as well as extra performance.
B. I don't know if I believe it either, but I do know that if MS wants devs to be able to use the Xbox SOC for next gen games they will make it easy for them. MS knows that you can't make obtuse hardware of devs will hate it.
C. I prefer changeable batteries. When rechargable batteries need to be recharged I like to swap them out. The PS3 controller had to be pluged in to recharge. I recently replaced all my home batteries with the latested and greatest rechargables. They are great. THey are standard AA and AAA size so I can use them in my Xbox 360 controls. If this rumor is true I'll be able to use them in my Nextbox controllers too.
D. I don't understand your complaint here at all. Even if the Windows 8 app store has less stuff than Android and iOS it still means that the Nextbox will ship day one with a lot of games and apps ready to go. Unification of Windows and Xbox indie stores means that indie devs will be able to reach two very larger markets with the exact same app int he exact same store for one publication fee. How is any of this a bad idea? It's not replacing full size XBLA games, it's fixing what indie devs complain about with XBLIG.
