I've had my Wii since 2008 and I have never used any of those services l0l.

They should keep the shop though since people could still buy games.

lol nobody use it now since everything is homebrewed

Not a big deal. Most people don´t use those services anymore
Just keep the online shop and the server for online playing and that´s ok.

As long as I can play GE im good, they can kill the rest, even the shop since there hasnt been anything released on it worth a damn in...a while IMHO

They have to leave shop channel open.

why?

-To sell games; all Wiiware & VC is also compatable with the Wii U in Wii mode.

-It is home to important software fixes, like the Skyward Sword save file fixer.

-It is the only way to get the Netflix, Youtube, Hulu+ or Amazon Instant video streaming apps.

seems a bit pre-mature but eh, i never used them and i doubt anyone else did either.

Check Mii Out Channel is pretty bad ass.  You should get on there and download a bunch of celebrity made Miis.  They have Darth Vader, Peter (Family Guy), Homer, Beavis and Butthead, Obama, Spiderman, Michael Jackson and the list goes on....  I thought it was pretty cool to have them pop up in the background while playing Wii Sports, Mario Kart, etc.
