I would't call 47k "pretty nice numbers", actually I think they're terrible for a new console. I think people's view is a bit skewed because they're comparing them to dying consoles.

PS3 or 360 never sold that low. The lowest 360 sold was 61k and the lowest PS3 sold (post EU launch) was 58k. WiiU is selling way below that consistently.

SW will help, of course. Those consoles never had droughts this bad, even PS3 post-launch.

This, some people are living in a fantasy world, its getting whooped badly by a console thats been on the market for 7 years.

The point of OP though is that, though the system has "no gamez", it's still selling okay.

I dont think its selling ok, i think its selling the opposite of ok, but if you believe it is then so be it.

I think all women do look hot in corsets. That got my vote.

I already have a WiiU and a crap load of games for it (now in the double digits) and am busily monster hunting away. With monster hunter and NFSMW it has even pulled me away from steam most days.

I think "women do look hot in corsets" is the best response to all this WiiU doomed crap. Noted for future use.

It's all relative. What's ok to me may mean something else to you. Nobody is saying it's ballin', but it isn't the 3DO either, and it doesn't have much more than NSMB U and NintendoLand, or Lego City. OP is correct to say that the numbers are healthy all things considered (that there will be a deluge of games by the end of the year and that this will all match the influx of games). At the moment, with a very small software library, the system is staying alive, and that's a good sign. In other words, imagine how it will do _with_ games.

The Wii U isn't selling at all. Even in its own territory of Japan, it is floundering.

Dude, you might want to take a math course.  Not selling at all would be 0 units sold weekly.  While the tens of thousands a week sold may not be great, it's by no means "isn't selling at all" level.

If its all relative the OP cant be correct, becasue it is his OPINION that it is doing ok. And no it doesnt have just those games. it has COD, Batman, ME, AC, JD...these are franchises that are million sellers +. I imagine when it get games then it will do ok and then it will be good.

No. I want Pikmin 3 right now.

Some launch window my ass. I'm honestly pissed. (And MH3U getting fatigued)
The only reason I'm still hopeful at this point is I still don't know what Retro has.
But Nintendo really better have a good ambassadors program for me.

well to be fair, Ninty didnt force you to buy a Wii U, you knew what was coming down the pipe or in thisi case what wasnt coming down.

Yeah and they said 101 and Pikmin 3 would be arriving "launch window"

Oh well at least I have a lot on my 3DS. (Just wish I had some GBA games on it *grumble grumble*)

And you believed them? I dont trust anyone until i get a solid release date. down to the day and that goes double for Ninty

Well a lot of games with release dates get delayed anyway.

(OMG but seriously ambassdors are almost 2 years old now RELEASE THE DM GAMES.

As will the PS720 this fall.  The PS360's have too many great games to ignore.  You might be ready for the new systems, but a lot of people are going to be perfectly happy with the current systems for the next few years.

The games you listed (bar JD) don't sell Nintendo consoles. We finally understood that, you're still expecting the nature of the industry to change after all this?

COD, Batman, ME, AC,  these don't sell U's.

The point is that the U is showing healthy levels, all things considered. In other words (what that actually means) is that when games that are expected to sell Nintendo consoles actually do come out, everything will be back to normal. Had the numbers been anemic (like 2k weekly), that would have been very worrisome and not an indicator of what I just projected.

a lot huh? Name a few, only thing i could think of the top of my head, is Bioshock GTA, etc. There are some but not a few and i personally didnt buy a console to play those. it looks worst at the beginning of a console's life when there isnt that much coming out for it. Esepcially since Pikmin was supposed to be a goddamn Wii game. IMHO it seems to be a bigger issue with Ninty. They'll show a game and no one knows when it comes out. We just got LM2 and that was shown before 3ds even launched, but hell im all for delaying a game till they think its good. Just wish they didnt hype people so much at the start.

you know that for a fact? can i see your crystal ball? You think either of those systems will sell like the Wii U is selling?
