but I wonder how many people would buy a Durango and a BC box...

you should think the other way around.. I think the new360 will be placed as THE media box out there even outselling durango.. but when people want more they'll get a durango with it cause it works so nicely with the new360.. I even wouldn't be surprised if the new360 would get yearly revisions and a new game part every 6 to 8 years..

If the new small Xbox device does not have a disk drive (not able to display DVD and BluRay), what advantages would it have over a normal receiver (does it even have the capabilities to serve as a reciever?). Currently I imagine it as a glorifies streaming device (will you still have to pay for XBL gold to be able to access Netflix etc?) with the capability of playing arcade games and Xbox360 games (if it doesn't include a HDD you'll HAVE to buy a Durango to be able to play those...). I think I'll need a lot more info before even attempting to judge this device...

And to think, there was VG poster that was SUUUURE the rumored NextBox specs were true. As I say, nothing is true until it is official. Leaks can still be rumors.

Exactly! But somehow this is not saying the other leaks aren't true, they just didn't think of that internet-required and no used-games was meant for another 360, not NextBox.

something ain't right here... so the mini has no disc drive or HDD and the durango can "play" the 360 games by being linked to the mini but the games does not run from the disc, has to be from the HDD? why would you need the fill up your HDD with data for "mini" to use if your disc drive is miles better than the one used in the current xbox 360? am i missing something?

Does anyone remember the 56-pages long leak from last year which also was quite dated? IIRC even in this document they were talking about two different versions of new xboxes - seems MS had this strategy long before the first rumors appeared. I think to MS everything works as they planned since a long time.

That was fake.

I like the idea of an XBox Mini if its $99-$149. At $99 if it can play 360 and XBLA games and do most everything else an Apple TV does, I'd take that over an Apple TV (why not).

This sounds good actually. Sony fans shouldn't be celebrating prematurely, they will be in for a dog fight.

Supposedly Durango can play from 360 discs if you have the mini.

You can already get a full Xbox for that price...(assuming the usual 1:1 of Eur/USD in electronics)
