While this generation is coming to a close the PS3 and 360 are still receiving tons of quality software.  Looking at all the upcoming games I can't help but wonder if it will slow sales for the upcoming generation, especially since neither PS4 or the Next Xbox will be backwards compatible. 

Here's just some of the games releasing around the time of next gen launch

Grand Theft Auto 5

Battlefield 4

Batman Arkham Origins

Assassins Creed 4

Saints Row IV

Beyond 2 Souls

Watch Dogs

Destiny

Dark Souls 2

That is a STACKED line up 

I think so. It will for me, at least, unless E3 melts my face.

I thought Destiny was 2014. It's also coming to next gen systems.
Dark Souls 2 does not have a solid release date yet.

If anything a 99$ xbox 360 would hurt the next xbox sales heh

But the point is its still for current gen. Why upgrade when almost every game announced for Next gen is also coming to current gen

Because... Because... DAT graphics. My guess is maybe slightly buffed textures? lol. I know Diablo 3 will run better on PS4, not sure by how much.

I may affect the sales to those outside the "core" market for the PS4 and next Xbox, I don't think it will have any effect on the Wii U. But if the $99.00 360 is coming that would have more of an effect.

I think the current gen will be a drag on next gen consoles for a while due to lack of built-in BC. Microsoft most likely won't have any; I don't expect Sony's streaming alternative to be up and running from day 1, and we don't know how much it'll cost or how it even works.

It'll be a while before either next-gen box pulls away from it's predecessor as a viable purchase outside the hardcore fanbase. Unless both come out for, like, $250 or something. :p

No... not to be mean but the none line up for the Wii didn't exactly help the WiiU... stacked games or no games.. it doesn't matter for the new gen..

The thing that will sell these consoles will be the better features and the software lineup. If one release with a game people really want, it will outsell the PS3. Its hard to say whats going to happen without knowing these things.

When does these consoles release?
What games will be on them?
What will the pricing be?
MARKETING?
